Normally when I think of a wedding, I think of light colors. Black usually isn’t a color that pops into my head. Yet, I can’t help but notice how many brides are choosing the neutral color for their wedding. It’s a statement and still doesn’t distract the eye from what’s important. It has a bit of a gothic glamour or mod sleek depending on how you use it.
Black isn’t really a color one would choose for say a garden wedding or even a heavily religious wedding seeing as black is usually associated with death. However, it does work when you’re having a formal, evening wedding. It’s classy and cool. It has a sense of swank to it. Pair that with a lovely deep violet and you have a bang wow combo that says a sophisticated and daring bride planned this soiree.
